.:PROM NiGHT:.

PROM NiGHT!

Cody and I got to go to our first prom together last night. The theme was "Classic Hollywood". And though our outfits were not your typical 40's movie star- attire, we looked as spiffy as Marilyn Monroe ever did. =] We had a ball, who would have thought the boy could dance? I was impressed!

After treating me to a very nice dinner, we headed to Chamber's Communications where the party had clearly not started yet.. We got there almost fourty-five minutes late, and everyone was still standing around staring at eachother. Oh, high school... So. We took it upon ourselves to get it goin'! And that we did. (luckily.. talkabout going out on a limb huh?) Ultimately, it was a delightful evening; we smiled till our cheeks cramped, ate till our clothe fit a little tighter (oops..) and we danced the night away!

<--- He got awfully lucky.. I was a rookie at the pinning of the boutinerre. And he didn't even gat stabbed! Unfortunately I wasn't quite a natural. It fell off at dinner. :( I (I'll have to work on that.)

Over there on the right, just Cody and I in the backyard, just had to show off the lovely Oregon scenery.

There's our "group." We figured less was more this year.
L to R: Carlee, Cody, Cameron and Kandy
(say that ten times fast.. ha ha)
Pretty good lookin buncha' kids though eh? ;)

I'm Going to be an Aunt!

A personal congratulations to my beautiful sister Megan, and my wonderful brother-in-law Cory. They're expecting a baby this coming July, and I am so happy for them! The two of you are going to make a couple of awesome parents, and the three of you will be the start of an absolutely beautiful family! I hope we'll get to meet baby walker as soon as he/she is born or soon after depending on how everything plays out (you know infants, they're kind of on their own schedule sometimes eh?)

Anyway, congratulations- you guys are about to embark on a whole new chapter in your lives- Good luck, I wish you the best- I know you guys will do great! Can't wait to hear and see more!

xoxo

It's been a while since I last posted anything, mainly because I've been extremely busy. Basketball has taken over my life the last 3 and a half months (long season right?) and between that and school, my blog has become a little outdated. My basketball season just ended, and quite frankly- I'm glad. =] All in all, it was a good season, we didn't have the winning record I think most of us would have liked. Last night, we played the game of a lifetime. And that's no exaggeration. We played Marist, our league rivals- the same team that beat us 46 to 13 in January, and beat them by four last night. Not only did we end our season with a big V, but we won it with quite a comeback too- we were down by 14 at half time, and fought with all we had for the last sixteen minutes. It's that kind of game that makes you want to come back next year... and to my own surprise, I'm considering it. But we'll see what next year's volleyball season has in store for me.

Hey There! So, I'm Carlee- a current resident of Right where i Want To Be, Oregon. =] I am 15 years old, a sophomore at P.H.H.S. I enjoy partaking in school athletics, as of now those include volleyball and basketball, but I hope to join the track team this coming spring. I'm completely blessed with a beautiful family and an incredible group of friends, a support network not many can compare to. I'd consider myself a pretty happy-go-lucky kind of girl, I love snowboarding in the winter, swimming and boating in the summer, I like to write- pretty much anything and everything- I'm enrolled in the publications class at my school as an active reporter and yearbook photographer. I love to sing and dance (though not well...) and taking pictures is becoming more than a hobby- almost a passion. I'd like to go into the advertising industry when I'm older, and if that doesn't work out- a promising career in the nursing field doesn't sound to bad =].

My Greatest Role Models: The reason(s) I am who I am today...

Aunt Dawn- I can remember clear back to when I was 3 or 4, to when you were pushing Blake and I around in the "Lego Wagon" (it was more like pusing it over..) I couldn't appreciate your sense of humor then, but now- I'm taking notes! =D You've taught me so much about being a strong and independent induvidual. You're an amazing mother, sister, daughter and aunt, and I hope that someday I can fufill those roles as well as you can.

Uncle Mitch.... If there's one thing you've taught me. It's to be a kid. Your stories have encouraged me to value my high school years, and to enjoy being young. You've taught me about respect and how valuable it is. You work so hard, and I admire that in you. You're absolutely hilarious Uncle mitch, and I love ya! with you in the room, there'll never a dull moment, you always have the perfect, funny, witty, and sometimes unfiltered, but always PERFECT thing to say!

"What I lack in intelligence, I make up for in volume."
-Mitch Morrell

Grandma and Grandpa Morrell.... They who started it all. Where to start with the two of you. You guys go above and beyond when it comes to support with all ten of we grandchildren. I can't express how excited I am to finally be back in the valley with you guys. Every time you guys come to a game or event that one of us is involved in, it's a reminder of how loved we are- we appreciate you guys and can't thank you enough. All my love.

Saved the best for last! I hope I make you guys proud, that's my biggest goal in life. I couldn't ask for better parents, you guys' are doing awesome and I absolutely love you both. I want to thank you, because you both work sooo hard, to provide our family with all that we need and most of what we want. Im growing up fast, (Can you believe it? I'm almost 16!) and I couldn't have made it without cha!! xoxo
There's my family. Just looking at the photo, you yourself can easily see that we're quite a good lookin' group huh?! =] But what you can't see by just looking, is how completely blessed I am to have been given two such loving parents, and two bearable (and adorable!) siblings, all of which I love dearly and would be lost without! I try my hardest to set a good example for the little ones, and try just as hard to meet my parents' expectations and to make them proud. =] What it all boils down to, is that needless to say, I could NOT ask for more.

<--- Pictured Left: This is my best friend Tayler and I. We're doing what we do best... which is... Um, being complete dorks I suppose. I Love this girl to death! The two of us have quite an extensive history- which began at the ages of 4 years old. We were then sparated for 8 years when my family and I moved to Idaho. Just two years ago we were reunited, where we picked up right where we left off- now I know, at least for me, I can't imagine a life without her!
